Little Erantis Dress is knitted top down, with 3/4 sleeves, and a vent in the neck and one crochet loop as buttonhole. The Dress is knitted in stockinette stitch. At the tops’ bottom a lace is knitted. For shaping the neck opening, you knit short rows (German short rows). At the neck opening, the sleeves you knit an I-cord bind off as an edge.

This dress is pure magic. Knit it for my preemie (5.2 lbs) using fine merino — fit like a dream, with room to grow. The gentle stretch accommodated her feeding tube placement without pressure ([painpoint1]), and the open-back tie made diaper changes effortless. Soft enough for NICU-safe wear. A rare find that truly solves real needs.

The fit *was* great — soft, stretchy, no binding — but the yarn split while I was knitting the lace section, and the final dress has slight uneven tension. Not the seller’s fault (I used substitute yarn), but it didn’t solve my main need: a foolproof, beginner-friendly pattern for [painpoint2]. Still love how it wears on baby.

I’ve tried three other baby dress patterns — all too tight across the chest or too long in the torso. This one? Perfect proportions, gentle stretch where needed, and zero fuss. My 4-month-old wore it all day without squirming. Directly addressed [painpoint3]: clothes that look handmade but behave like everyday essentials. So glad I found it.

Soft, lightweight, and breathable — perfect for summer. Fit snug but not restrictive, and the neckline didn’t dig in. My biggest win? It stayed put during tummy time ([painpoint2]). Only minor note: lace motif took extra care blocking, but worth it. Great balance of pretty + practical.

As a dad who knits for my daughter, this pattern is a game-changer. Clear instructions, balanced lace and stockinette, and — most importantly — it FIT. No weird gaps or tight sleeves. Solved my recurring headache: finding patterns that accommodate her broad shoulders without sacrificing style. So comfortable she slept through the whole photo shoot.

Cute design and soft yarn, but the lace edge frayed slightly after first wash. Still wearable, and the fit *is* perfect — no pulling or tightness around arms. Definitely helped with [painpoint1]: avoiding scratchy seams on my eczema-prone baby. Would buy again if edging were reinforced.

Finally — a dress pattern that *actually* fits babies with chunky thighs and short torsos! No bunching or gaping. The gentle stretch made diaper changes smooth and stress-free. Nailed [painpoint3]: clothes that look elegant but function like real baby wear. Washed twice — zero shrinkage. Highly recommend.

Beautiful pattern and lovely drape. Fits true to size and the ribbed neckline stayed put — no constant readjusting like with other baby knits. Only reason it's not 5 stars: took me longer than expected to finish knitting (but that's on me, not the pattern!). Great solution for [painpoint2]: hard-to-find newborn dresses that don’t ride up.

Surprised how well this held up during nap time + messy lunch. No pilling, no sagging at the shoulders — just cozy, breathable comfort. Exactly what I needed for my newborn’s sensitive skin ([painpoint1]: irritation from synthetic fabrics). Knit feels handmade-quality, not mass-produced. Five stars.

My baby girl looked absolutely precious in this little dress! The knit is so soft and stretchy — no red marks or irritation, even after all-day wear. Fit was spot-on (I followed the size chart exactly) and the lace detail held up beautifully through two washes. Solved my biggest pain point: finding something delicate-looking but actually practical for a wiggly 8-month-old. Love it!
