The dress is knitted top down, with a vent in the neck and two crochet loops as buttonholes. The yoke is knitted in stockinette stitch and the rest of the body in the Erantis lace pattern. For shaping the neck opening, you knit short rows (German short rows). At the neck opening, the sleeves and the body, you knit an I-cord bind off as an edge. The Erantis lace pattern might seem uneven while knitting, but unfolds perfectly after washing and blocking.

Soft, breathable, and *so* comfortable—she wore it from morning circle time through playground, snack, and nap without tugging or complaining. No red marks, no itching ([painpoint1]: irritation from synthetic blends or coarse fibers). The knit is dense but airy, and the fit stayed put all day. Exactly what I needed for sensory-sensitive kiddos. Highly recommend.

Finally—a hand-knit dress that *actually fits* without tailoring! My daughter is petite and most 'size 5' dresses drown her. This one hit every point: waist definition, sleeve length, hem just above ankles. Solved my long-standing frustration ([painpoint2]: kids’ clothing running oversized or inconsistent). Plus, she said it ‘feels like a hug’. Sold.

Cute design and great fit—but the lace edge on the sleeve caught on her backpack zipper twice. Fixed with a tiny stitch, but wish it were reinforced ([painpoint3]: delicate details snagging during active play). That said, the comfort and true-to-size fit made it worth keeping. Washed well and still looks new.

As a dad who rarely shops for dresses—this was stress-free. No guessing on size charts. It fit perfectly right out of the bag, and the knit has just enough stretch for movement ([painpoint2]: confusing or inaccurate kids’ sizing). My daughter twirled nonstop at her recital. Soft, breathable, zero complaints. Will definitely order again.

Lovely dress—delicate but sturdy. Fit my daughter (age 4, slim build) like a dream. Only reason not 5 stars: took longer to dry than expected after gentle rinse. Still, solved my biggest worry ([painpoint1]: scratchy, stiff fabrics that make kids refuse to wear handmade clothes). She asked to wear it *two days in a row*.

Bought it for my 6-year-old niece as a handmade gift—and wow, the craftsmanship shines. It fits *exactly* as described, no awkward bunching or sagging ([painpoint2]: inconsistent sizing in kids' knits). She wore it all day at school without adjusting it once. Super soft, breathable, and the lace trim doesn’t irritate her neck. Five stars for reliability!

This dress is absolutely perfect for my daughter's birthday party! The fit is spot-on and she didn't fuss once—no itchy seams or tight shoulders ([painpoint1]: comfort for sensitive skin). Soft yarn, lovely lace detail, and held up beautifully after hand-washing. So glad I chose this knit instead of fast-fashion alternatives.
