Chunky Cable Sweater

Detail
Chunky Cable Sweater is a modern take on a classic cable sweater.
The sweater is worked bottom up in a compact braid and cable pattern.
First the ribbed edge of the body is worked back and forth in order to create a slit on both sides of the sweater. Then the body is worked in the round in cable stitch pattern until the work is divided and the armholes are worked. Then the front piece and back piece are worked back and forth.
The shoulders are seamed together with mattress stitch, and stitches are then picked up for the sleeves. Finally, stitches are picked up for the collar which is worked in rib stitch like the ribbed edge on the body and the sleeves.Sizes: XS (S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL)

Beautiful knit and warm but ran small — ordered my usual size and had to size up which threw off my layering plans also the cable pattern caught on my necklace twice not ideal for daily wear

Solves my biggest winter struggle: looking put-together without sacrificing comfort this sweater’s got that ‘I woke up like this’ elegance meets ‘I’m not freezing my butt off’ practicality — zero regrets

Cozy yes stylish yes but took a full day to air out the natural wool scent — not unpleasant just earthy if you’re sensitive to fibers this might need a quick steam first

Wore this hiking in Colorado last week and stayed toastier than my thermos full of hot cocoa — authentic fabric breathes but locks in heat exactly what I needed for unpredictable mountain temps

Super soft and true to size but the sleeves run slightly long which I actually love for that oversized slouchy look definitely solves my ‘always cold arms’ problem

Finally found a sweater that doesn’t pill after two wears and actually keeps me warm without overheating love the weighty texture and how it layers like a dream over tees or flannels
