Elvira Poncho is worked from the top down in a simple charted textured stitch pattern. It is worked with 1 strand of Heavy Merino + 1 strand of Soft Silk Mohair held together throughout.
You start with the ribbed neckband. Afterwards, you start working the textured pattern and shape the poncho with increases both at the shoulders and at mid-front and mid-back as indicated in the charts. The body is worked to desired length with further shaping at mid-front and mid-back only before the poncho is finished with a ribbed edge.

Yarn: 1 strand Knitting for Olive Heavy Merino (125 m [137 yd] / 50 g [1.8 oz]), worsted-weight yarn, 5 (6, 6, 7, 7, 8, 8) balls + 1 strand Knitting for Olive Soft Silk Mohair (225 m [246 yd] / 25 g [0.9 oz]), lace-weight yarn, 3 (4, 4, 4, 4, 4, 5) balls. Needles: 5 mm / US8 and 6 mm / US10 circular needles, or in size to obtain gauge
