Aviaya Top is worked seamlessly from the top down in half fisherman’s rib with 2 strands of either Pure Silk or Merino held together throughout. The straps and the triangular pieces are worked flat back and forth before work is joined at the underarms and continued in the round for the body. The top’s two top-halves from midfront to mid-back are identical. You will first work one half/side before working the second half/side the exact same way.

Yarn: 2 strands of Knitting for Olive Pure Silk or Merino (250 m [273 yd] / 50 g [1.8 oz]), fingering-weight yarn, 4 (4, 4, 5, 5, 6, 7, 8) balls. Sample is in Pure Silk in Wheat colorway
Needles: 3.5 mm / US4 circular needles in 80 cm [32”] cable length, or in size to obtain gauge
Gauge (after blocking): 15 sts and 46 rows = 10 cm [4”] in half fisherman’s rib with 3.5 mm / US4 needles
Please note that 46 rows in half fisherman’s rib are counted as 23 knit stitches in a column
