Daimi Sweater

Daimi Sweater is an elegant and light sweater with a saddle-shoulder construction. The sleeves are loose and feature a wide lace border along the edges. The sweater is worked mainly in the round and using 1 strand of Merino + 1 strand of Soft Silk Mohair held together throughout.
The body is worked in stockinette stitch from the top down while the sleeves are worked from the bottom up in both lace and stockinette stitch. You begin with the neckband and continue with neckline shaping using German short rows while working the saddle shoulders. Work is divided at the underarms and the body is continued in the round before being finished with a folded hem. Sleeves are worked in the round from the bottom up and later grafted together with the armhole stitches.

The lace pattern is charted only.

Yarn: 1 strand of Knitting for Olive Merino (250 m [273 yd] / 50 g [1.8 oz]), fingering-weight yarn, 4 (5, 5, 5, 5, 6, 6, 7, 7) balls + 1 strand of Knitting for Olive Soft Silk Mohair (225 m [246 yd] / 25 g [0.9 oz]), laceweight yarn, 4 (5, 5, 5, 6, 6, 7, 7, 8) balls. Samples are in Merino + Soft Silk Mohair in Fennel Seed colorway and Merino + Soft Silk Mohair in Midnight colorway.
Needles: One 4 mm / US6 circular needle and two 4.5 mm / US7 circular needles, or in size to obtain gauge
Gauge (after blocking): 20 sts and 27 rows = 10 cm [4”] in st st with 4.5 mm / US7 needles
